Real-time analytics

Know what is happening on your site right now.

Launches, newsletters, a mention on social media or an answer in ChatGPT: see the effect while it is happening, not tomorrow.

Real-time analytics in GoTrace: an example account for yoursite.com
From an example account. The live view: active visitors, pageviews per minute, recent activity, current pages, sources, countries and devices.
01 Features

What the live view shows

Active visitors

How many people were on the site in the last five minutes, refreshed every ten seconds.

Pageviews per minute

A minute-by-minute chart of the last 30 minutes, so you can see a spike start and fade.

Recent activity

A running feed of pageviews, form starts, downloads and conversions, with the source and country of each visit.

Current pages and sources

Which pages are being read right now and where those visitors came from, including AI assistants.

Countries and devices

Where your live visitors are and what they are using.

Alerts when tracking stops

If your site suddenly stops sending data, for example after a deploy removed the script, you hear about it within hours.

02 In practice

When real-time data helps most

01

Launch day

Watch a launch, a sale or a press mention land, and see which pages people actually read.

02

Checking a campaign

Send the newsletter, then watch the clicks arrive with their campaign and landing page.

03

Testing your setup

Load your own site and see the visit appear seconds later, to confirm tracking works.

03 Privacy

Measured, not watched.

The live view shows visits, not people. Countries come from a lookup that discards the IP address, and nothing typed on your site is collected.

04 Questions

Frequently asked questions

How "real time" is it?

Events are sent within a few seconds of happening, and the live view refreshes every ten seconds.

Does real-time count bots?

No. Search engine crawlers, AI crawlers, headless browsers and scripts are filtered out and counted separately.

Can I see real-time conversions?

Yes. Conversions appear in the activity feed as they happen, with their source.
